...and Now you know.. the Rest.. of the story...

I'm sitting in the computer lab waiting for my next class to start. Until now I've never really been too interested in school before. Maybe it's because I'm doing well. Maybe it's because my brother's xbox and computer keep me company when I'm done my homework (I'm a geek you see...). Maybe it's because this is the first time I have a real reason for going. I'm enjoying myself here, though. The only thing that really sucks about this whole deal is being almost completely cut off from my friends. I was thinking about bloggin again (which I've obviously been doing for a few weeks)to keep everyone up with the life and times of Sean. I'm also slightly regretting deleting a couple of my blogs. Maybe I'll try and remember what I wrote about and elaborate on what I was trying to get across...a second edition if you will. anyway I think I'm late for class...

Lord of the Rings - Voiceover

The funnest thing is that the voiceover isnt that far off from the orignal...this one still makes me laugh after the 50th time.

I haven't finished writing anything in a while. Everytime I get close my hand moves over the delete button hesitant to pull the trigger. Usually it's because I don't feel that the words I've used were the right ones. Sometimes it's because what I've typed was so personal I didn't feel confidant enough to reveal it. For the latter I've written them down elsewhere and hopefully someday I'll have the courage the display them for everyone to read.

I've recently watched a documentary that threw together some things that I've been coming across little by little over the past year. It was a little disturbing to see how all these things came together. It's a movie I'd like whoever reads this to watch. It's here for free... http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ at the end of the film is a quote by comedian Bill Hicks that I've heard many times. Heard in this context, however, it seems to have taken on a more meaningful message. Here's the quote the way Bill Hicks tells it:

"The world is like a ride at an amusement park. And when you choose to go on it, you think its real because thats how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills, and its very brightly coloured , and its very loud and its fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question - is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us. They say, 'Hey! Dont worry, dont be afraid, ever, because, this is just a ride.'

And we kill those people

"Shut him up! I've got a lot invested in this ride! Shut him up!" Look at my furrows of worry! Look at my big bank account and my family! This has to be real."It's just a ride. But we always kill those few guys that try to tell us that, you ever notice that? and let the demons run amuck. but it doesn't matter cuz it's just a ride and we can change it any time we want. Its only a choice, no effort, and no worries, no job, no savings of money. Just a choice right now between Fear and Love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love, instead, see all of us as one.

Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money that we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace."
